On June 20, our Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer (COO) Lauren Duffy was honored at an event held by BusinessWest to recognize this year’s “40 Under Forty” selectees. The annually published list honors young professionals in Western Massachusetts for their career achievements, and outstanding service to the community.
Boasting a 14-year tenure and ascension through nine titles at the Credit Union, Lauren’s career is defined by consistent innovation and improvement within every role that she has occupied. UMassFive’s CEO and President, Rich Kump, describes Duffy as a strategic thinker and an instrument of change, whose wealth of knowledge and multi-faceted perspective on all areas of the institution allow her a unique edge.
Outside of the financial world, Lauren continues to lead by example within her community. Maintaining a busy schedule, she has found time to give back to her alma mater for the past 15 years as the Treasurer of the Mount Holyoke College Class of 2003, sits on the Boston Children’s Hospital Virtual Advisory Council, and is repeatedly a top fundraiser for the UMass Cancer Walk & Run. Reflecting upon her accomplishments, Duffy advocates for the dynamism of collaboration.
