UMassFive College Federal Credit Union (UMassFive) is hosting its annual winter coat and cold-weather clothing drive through November 12, 2026. Community members are encouraged to drop off donations at UMassFive branch locations throughout October and early November. Collected items will help local individuals and families stay warm during the winter months, with distribution coordinated in partnership with the Amherst Survival Center and Gray House.
“Many local families are facing difficult choices this winter, and a warm coat can make a real difference,” said Miranda Groux, Resource Coordinator at Amherst Survival Center. “We’re grateful to partner with UMassFive to help ensure our neighbors have access to the cold-weather clothing they need.”
UMassFive is accepting clean, new, or gently used coats, gloves, scarves, hats, sweaters, snow gear, and boots. Donations should be bagged and dropped off at the following locations:
- *Hadley Branch: 200 Westgate Center Drive
- Northampton Branch: 225 King Street
- Springfield Branch: 233 Carew Street, Mercy Hospital Rehabilitation Building, Room 110
- East Longmeadow Branch: 61 North Main Street
*Due to ongoing emergency building repairs, the Hadley branch location has been temporarily closed as a drop off site. Hadley community members are welcome to drop donations at UMassFive’s King St. Northampton branch or donate directly to the Amherst Survival Center.
