were nominated and selected by their co-workers to be this edition's SMART employees for the Third Quarter 2021, and Fourth Quarter 2021.

SMART is the Credit Union’s quality service motto. It stands for “Sharp, Motivated, Aware, Responsible, Team-Player.”

Brittany Ward, Hadley Branch Manager, Q3 Winner

Brittany Ward has been with UMassFive for seven years, beginning in January 2015. She began her career here as a Member Service Specialist before becoming the Retail Training Specialist for our branches, before serving as the Manager of the Video Teller Department. Most recently, as of January 1, she has been promoted again to Manager of our Hadley Branch!

She is always ready to help; whether it's with trainings, questions within her department, instant messages from other employees, or tracking down information for retail staff. Casey LaBerge, Enterprise Support Technician II, Q4 Winner

 

Casey LaBerge has been with UMassFive since April 2019. He started out working in various Lending roles before moving over to IT, where he is now an Enterprise Support Technician II.

Here is what UMassFive Employees have to say about Casey:

[Casey is] always willing to help out. He is almost always able to resolve any issue. He has been an incredible lifeline and his help is always appreciated. He always goes out of his way to help with your IT issues, and if it's something he can't fix, he'll help you get in contact with the correct employee! He really knows his stuff and is always quick to help out when someone is in need. He is very responsive, patient, and instructive and is always willing to help with IT issues big or small. He will drop everything to help in a timely manner.
