Matt Eddy, Remote Services Manager & Money Guide
Matt Eddy, Remote Services Manager, Q3 CARES Winner

Matt Eddy began his career with UMassFive in March of 2018 as a Member Service Specialist in the Northampton Branch, before becoming our Leeds VA Branch Manager in July of 2021. His experience there led to a promotion to Remote Services Manager in our Contact Center in October 2023.

Here is what coworkers said about Matt:

  • Matt is an incredibly attentive manager. I find that as soon as someone asks a question, it never seems to matter just how busy Matt is, he is happy to be reached out to with any question, inquiry or member concern. He does a lovely job of really motivating his team and keeping us up to date. I always notice that he is there to defend his team and take care of them too. He will take the time with you to explain something if you don’t understand and has a wonderful work ethic.
  • Being a Manager in the Contact Center, Matt is constantly involved in meetings and projects, yet always takes the time to support his department with a positive attitude at all times.
Kristina Smith
Kristina Smith, AVP of Retail Services, and Q4 CARES Winner

Kristina Smith has been with the Credit Union since July 2009. She started as a part-time teller, a Wealth Management Program Assistant, and then became the Admin to the CEO for a time. From there, she moved back to Retail as a Branch Manager, and then took the role of Senior Branch Manager. She became the Regional AVP of Retail Services in January 2019 and has held the AVP of Retail Administration title since February 2021.

Here is what coworkers said about Kristina:

  • Kristina led the digital banking upgrade, which required keeping staff and our vendors accountable to multiple deadlines and deliverables. She did an incredible job juggling a lot of different open items, many of which were presented with quick turnaround required. In true Kristina fashion, she maintained professionalism and a positive attitude throughout the project and our members now have an improved online and mobile banking experience.
  • Kristina personified our CARES values throughout our digital banking upgrade. No easy feat for the main point person of the project!

Congratulations to Matt & Kristina for this well-deserved award! We are fortunate to have such dedicated employees.
