Five Colleges, Incorporated

UMassFive is proud to serve the employees of the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, a group of people who have made a world of difference in our communities since 1982.

Five Colleges, Inc. is a nonprofit educational corporation established in 1965 to promote the broad educational and cultural objectives of its associated institutions: Amherst College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. It expanded in 1966 with the addition of Hampshire College. The organization promotes and administers long-term forms of cooperation that benefit faculty members, staff members, and students at the affiliated institutions. This includes shared use of educational and cultural resources and facilities: a joint, automated library system; open cross-registration; open theater auditions; joint departments and programs; and intercampus transportation. The cooperation fostered by the Five College Consortium is a distinctive and beloved feature of the Five College system. We are fortunate to serve the hard-working employees that make it all happen.
